APOSW is a diverse organization with an internationally-based membership. APOSW includes social workers and allied health professionals working in hospitals, clinics, educational institutions, private practice and organizations which provide support and treatment to children and young adults with cancer and their families. APOSW members share a common cause: enhancing the psychosocial well-being of pediatric and young adult cancer patients and their families by advancing pediatric psychosocial care through clinical social work practice, research, advocacy, education, and program development.

Institutional Discount
APOSW is pleased to offer a 10% discount when 8 or more members of the same Institution join or renew at the same time, submitting their applications together with payment in the form of one check.
To receive this discount, application forms cannot be processed online.

Regular Member: Individuals with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in social work who are currently or have previously worked in the field of pediatric oncology.
Membership/Renewal fee is $95.
Membership includes voting rights.
Associate Member: Individuals who are non-social work professionals and share in the APOSW mission to support and care for children with cancer.
Membership/Renewal fee $75.
NEW! Non-North American Associate:
Membership/Renewal fee $50.
Honorary Member: Individuals selected by the Board of Directors in recognition of one's efforts and interest in the work of the Association.
Membership/Renewal fee waived.
Student Member: Individuals who are attending an accredited undergraduate or graduate school of social work. (Must supply proof of status at time of application if mailed, or sent separately if application submitted on-line.)

Membership Year
The APOSW membership year is effective from today, or the postmark date of the Membership/Renewal Application form (PDF) and fee when mailed to the Membership Committee Chair, whichever is later. Irrespective of the start date of one's APOSW membership, APOSW membership and benefits expire December 31st, 2012. APOSW membership must be renewed annually for uninterrupted receipt of member benefits.
